Alumna Krishna Mathoera has been appointed as Minister of Defence in the new government of President Santhoki in Surinam.
Krishna (in the photo left) was in the Master of Public Administration programme in Surinam, a joint programme of the FHR Lim A Po Institute for Social Studies and ISS from which she graduated in 2011.
Krishna worked previously as a senior police officer.
