Dr Oane Visser gave the keynote lecture at a symposium on Food & Technology, organized by AI Forward Forum, and Studium Generale at Tilburg University.
In his talk Visser discussed how new (digital) technology is seen as the solution for a wide array of current socio-economic and environmental challenges of conventional agriculture. He addressed some of the benefits, but also the considerable, underestimated limitations and risks of novel digital technologies.
The interdisciplinary symposium included speakers from Food Technology, Social Sciences and Philosophy.
