On the 13th of January 2017, Professor Makau Mutua, SUNY Distinguished Professor and Floyd H. and Hilda L. Hurst Faculty Scholar at SUNY Buffalo Law School, presented a Masterclass at the Clinic on Hegemony, Law and Politics: Strategic Challenges for Legal Mobilizers

Professor Mutua is internationally recognized for his considerable scholarship and outspoken views on the content and functioning of human rights. Organized by the ISS International Development Law Clinic and the INFAR Research Group, this masterclass gave students the opportunity to reflect on the contemporary challenges faced by legal mobilizers.

The masterclass was based on Professor Makau Mutua's 2016 book (Suny Press) Human Rights Standards: Hegemony, Law and Politics.
