On 30 November 2020, Luis Artavia-Mora successfully defended his PhD thesis on 'Understanding and Overcoming Biases Against Marginalized Groups: Behavioral and experimental evidence from the Netherlands and Burkina Faso'.
His research included small and large-scale interventions designed to understand the challenges experienced by various marginalized and excluded groups as well as to propose ways to improve their well-being.
