Her research interests focus on the relationship between emerging trajectories of geopolitics, with specific reference to China and land politics in Myanmar, and how it in turn affects the volume and direction of cross border migrant labour flows. She is also interested in studying conflicted and changing social relations around land due to climate change mitigation projects. She has worked closely with the national land network in Myanmar, supporting its public campaigns and advocacy works. She also actively supports IFI Watch Group and Myanmar Investment Treaties Monitoring Network in Myanmar.

She obtained her BA degree in Public Health in 2007 from Westminster college in Missouri, United States of America. She holds a MPH (Master of Public Health) degree from Mahidol University in Thailand. She has worked for eight years in public health sector before starting to work with a local NGO, on the issues around land, natural resource and alternative development.
