How did the study contribute to your career?

I am currently working for a consulting firm for construction based in Tokyo, Japan, and mainly involved in Japanese ODA Grant projects of infrastructure construction, equipment procurement, and technical cooperation in developing countries. Studying in ISS inspired me to work in the development field and the coursework in ISS laid the basis for my current career as a consultant in this field. Besides, multicultural environment in ISS and interactions with students from all around the world greatly contributed to enhancing my ability in communication/negotiation in intercultural context, which is also an important part of my current job.

What was your overall experience at ISS?

Intensive coursework, extensive reading, study group, cultural events, trips with schoolmates, etc., all of these become my most beautiful memory in The Hague. What is more, friendship between ISSers continues after our graduation and it makes me feel connected to the world.
