Professor Saturnino 'Jun' Borras has, for the 4th year, been included on Clarivate's Highly Cited Researcher list in the Social Sciences category.
This list identifies those researchers who have been most frequently cited by their peers over the last decade.
In 2021, fewer than 6,700, or about 0.1%, of the world's researchers, in 21 research fields and across multiple fields, have earned this exclusive distinction.
Professor Borras is editor of The Journal of Peasant Studies, a leading journal in the field of rural politics and development.
His current research project, ‘Commodity & land rushes and regimes: Reshaping five spheres of global social life’, investigates how contemporary global commodity rushes (‘land grabs’) reshape the politics of food, climate, labour, citizenship and geopolitics in different contexts, and considers the implications of such new regimes.
