The Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) is a non-governmental international organization with UNESCO associate status, established in 1967.

It currently brings together 718 research centres and graduate schools in the field of the social sciences and humanities in 52 Latin American countries and other continents.

The International Institute of Social Studies joined CLACSO in 2020. The affiliation will enable the Institute and individual researchers to participate in the many academic activities and working groups of this large Latin American research network.

Being part of this Council will offer an excellent opportunity to showcase ISS and ISS researchers across the Spanish speaking world and the French and Portuguese speaking countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

For more information about the possibilities for joint research collaborations and activities, please contact Dr Rosalba Icaza Garza.
