On 18 October 2018, the International Institute of Social Studies celebrated it's 66th anniversary. The celebration forms part of the 21st lustrum of Erasmus University Rotterdam,
The event included a keynote speech by Kristel Baele on Diversity and Inclusion at Erasmus University, a lunch for ISS alumni and a reception at Panorama Mesdag.
A living statue of Desiderius Erasmus formed a highlight of the day, with the 16th century Dutch humanist happily posing for photos with 20th century scholars.
