Conflict, migration and displacement in Azerbaijan

Course participants - Conflict, Migration and Displacement in Baku, Azerbaijan - May 2018

On 11-13 May 2018, ISS lecturer Katarzyna Grabska and  Cindy Horst, Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute in Oslo (PRIO), participated in teaching a course on conflict, migration and displacement in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Held at Peace Research Institute in Oslo (PRIO) by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Vienna, the course was part of an EU-funded MOBILAZE project ('Support to the Implementation of the Mobility Partnership with Azerbaijan').

Katarzyna held lectures and workshops for a group of 30 students as part of the Migration Studies Weekend on Migration and Conflict. It was training for students, graduates and young professionals.

MOBILAZE project objectives

The main objective of the project is to support the implementation of the Mobility Partnership between the EU and Azerbaijan with a specific focus on strengthening the capacity of the government to develop and implement the national migration policy. One of the main aims of the project is to support research and analytical capacities and to provide trainings on migration issues to students and young professionals working in the field of migration.
