Erasmus University strives to facilitate Open Access publication among its researchers. With the implementation of the Open Access Regulation, the university has taken the next step to transition towards 100% Open Access for short scientific works. The university now wants to provide the same impetus for making academic books available open access.
Call for submissions
This year, the University Library has launched the Erasmus Open Access Fund 2022 to stimulate the Open Access publication of scholarly monographs. Authors who do not have another funding source to cover the book processing charges can apply to the fund to finance up to 50% of the costs to publish open access, with a maximum of €10,000.
Applications to the fund must be submitted before the start of publication, and after the work has undergone the peer review process. For the full list of eligibility criteria and conditions, please consult the Erasmus Open Access Fund webpage.
