Research and engagement on urbanization challenges at ISS

A future with resilient cities

Amid the world's challenges, urban resilience is lighting the way to address rapid changes in our city landscapes. We see cities as centres for economic growth and development but they are also the sites of environmental, economic, and social challenges. As a pioneer in development studies, ISS is dedicated to finding solutions for complex issues like poverty, inequality, migration, conflict and ecology.

That's why we are joining the conversations surrounding Urban October, a month is dedicated to address the opportunities and challenges faced due to urbanization. ISS strives to share knowledge to help cities weather adversity and protect the most vulnerable, sowing the seeds of urban resilience. Check out our curated content below!
