What is the World Urban Forum?
The World Urban Forum (WUF) is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. Established by the United Nations in 2001, WUF examines rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, climate change and policies.
WUF12 will bring together representatives of national, regional and local governments, academics, business people, community leaders, urban planners and civil society representatives to discuss sustainable urbanization.
Professor Shuaib Lwasa and Dr Georgina Gomez will join other international experts to explore how sustainable practices, innovative technologies, community-based solutions and innovative collaborative models to scale and sustain local economic development. In addition, you can find us at our joint booth with the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus-East Africa Network.
