On 1 October, the International Institute of Social Studies will host a conference organized by Nigerian Students in the Netherlands on the migration crisis. The conference will explore the challenges of migration, motivations of victims, analysis of psychological and sociological implications on migrants, and suggest methods and strategies for promoting peace and sustainability.

The questions the conference will ask include (but are not limited to):
- What is the relationship between migration and sustainable development, peace and security?
- What are the implications of the international organization of the effectiveness of sustainable peace, security and development efforts by the international development agencies and bodies?
- Why is migration important to citizens of developing countries?
- What are the lives and styles of irregular migrants of African origin in Europe?
Keynote lecture
The keynote lecture will be given by His Excellency Mr. Orji Nyimenaute Ngofa.
