Now in the ISS Library: a temporary themed collection with work from philosophers who are often neglected in Western classrooms.
The ISS Library has selected important works by philosophers from around the globe and from different eras, inspired by ‘Ten Neglected Classics of Philosophy’ Volumes I and II (edited by Eric Schliesser) and ‘Top 10 books by neglected female thinkers’ (by Regan). In many Western classrooms these authors, or the specific works on this list, are completely neglected or at least deserve extra attention. Find this temporary collection in the lounge area of the ISS Library.
This collection is limited to people who have shared their knowledge in written format. We are aware that many philosophers are being ignored in Western institutions due to a bias towards this way of knowledge transfer.
