Transformative methodologies go beyond the simplistic view that research objectives alone bring about social transformation, but rather engage with the research process itself.
Transformative methodologies are inherently reflexive and critical, and sharply focused on the power relations in the research process.
As a part of this project, on 11 May 2021, the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) held an online workshop to further the discussions on transformative methodologies and their applications in research practices.
For the purpose of this workshop, and to contribute to discussions on transformative methodologies, several ISS researchers produced videos about their research and their engagement with transformative methodologies.
