On 2 February 2024, the Diversity and Inclusion team of the International Institute of Social Studies will host the opening of an art exhibition honouring the work of Nadia Delgado. Her work illuminates the themes of diversity and inclusion.

Step into a world of art and celebration at our upcoming exhibition evening, dedicated to honouring the captivating works of Nadia Delgado. Beyond the canvases, the event will illuminate the powerful themes of diversity and inclusion, making this event not just an artistic showcase but a platform for meaningful conversations.

Celebrating the richness of human experience together, one brushstroke at a time

The exhibition will make the ISS commitment to diversity will be palpable, featuring artists from varied backgrounds, each weaving the fabric of their unique experiences into their art. These talented individuals have made diversity and inclusion central to their artistic expression, contributing to a vibrant tapestry of perspectives.

To further embrace the spirit of inclusivity, the evening will be filled with engaging activities. For example, all attendees will be offered pronoun buttons — a simple yet powerful tool to affirm everyone's identity. These buttons are entirely optional and provided only for those who feel comfortable using them. The aim is to create an environment where everyone feels seen, heard and respected, honouring individual choices.

The eveing will begin with a short card game designed to dismantle stereotypes and foster connections. This lighthearted activity will encourage guests to engage in open conversations, bridging gaps and fostering a sense of unity.
